Adecco deploys Salesforce AI agent to 27,000 staff across 40 countries
Adecco Group announced on September 15 a global rollout of Salesforce's Agentforce Coworker, an AI agent now embedded in the daily workflows of 27,000 employees across more than 40 countries, Artificial Intelligence News reported. The deployment follows successful pilots conducted in the UK and France.
Agent Built on Claude and Trained on Real-World Data
Agentforce Coworker is described as an enterprise "AI teammate" powered by Anthropic's Claude and integrated into Salesforce's platform. According to the company announcement, Yahoo Finance, the agent will draw on context from more than 2.5 million agent-candidate interactions that Adecco has accumulated since April 2025. This dataset gives the AI agent domain knowledge specific to staffing and recruitment workflows.
Scope: Sales, Recruitment, and Client Engagement
The rollout extends agentic AI infrastructure into workflows spanning sales, recruitment, and client and candidate engagement, according to Adecco's official statement. "This Coworker rollout now extends agentic AI infrastructure into the daily workflows of 27,000 employees," the company said.
Adecco operates in staffing and workforce solutions, making this deployment a significant real-world test of agentic AI in business-critical processes. The 27,000-employee footprint represents a large-scale pilot of how AI agents can integrate into human work across a distributed, multi-country organization.
Scaling from Pilots to Global Deployment
The progression from UK and France pilots to a 40-plus-country rollout signals confidence in the agent's performance and reliability in production environments. No specific timeline for full deployment or employee adoption metrics have been disclosed, Moomoo reported.
This deployment is part of a broader wave of enterprise agentic AI adoption in 2026, where companies are moving beyond chatbots and knowledge assistants to agents that take actions within business processes. The use of Anthropic's Claude as the underlying model reflects continued enterprise preference for the model's safety and reasoning characteristics in high-stakes workflows.
The scale of this rollout—27,000 simultaneous users across dozens of countries—places it among the largest documented deployments of agentic AI in a single organization to date.
